Wine and the Sweet Smell of Grandma
Floral notes are often a positive in white wines, especially Gewürztraminer and the Moscato family. But for Cabernet Sauvignon, "I call it 'grandma's perfume taint'," said Turning Tide Wines winemaker Alisa Jacobson. "It's hard to get past that aroma to enjoy the wine."
